Beginning of the Storm

Surveying  the battlefield in the boiling sun made his search for his fellow comrades so much harder but Crells persisted, after many hours he finally made it completely across the battlefield rescuing around eighty soldiers a few horses and a supply cart which some how managed to survive the battle intact.
The following day Crells and what was left of the Kingdoms of men army retrieved there general's body and laid it to rest akin to there customs, building a large circle of stones with roughly 1 foot between each stone which they scavenged from up to a mile away, they put his body on a pyre in the middle of the circle  with a trail of wood leading from the pyre to each stone, Crells was somehow nominated the leader of what few men remained and had the duty of performing the ritual to ensure there general's body would leave and go to the afterlife, walking around the circle he lit each trail of wood whilst reciting  what little he knew of the death ritual.

"From earth, wind, water and light all life comes from Midgard flows through its rivers and plays there part in her design, we obey her laws and cherish her gifts and through it all we know we must repay our debt of life by giving it back, Flesh and blood cut by steel, rotted by age, destroyed by disease all paths lead to one end. praise to Midgard our mother and mentor." As such the ritual was complete and smoke filled the sky, the men sat around the pyre feasting on the last supplies of fresh meat and ale from the supply cart until they heard a monstrous scream in the night dark sky.

Crells ordered the men to grab there weapons and make ready for they were far from done with the war of there rulers. beginning
